10 more sleeps to Christmas

Time has run by us again. It's almost the end of the year, and we have been in Melbourne for almost 20 months now. 2008 has been a pretty exciting and hectic year for all of us. We started the year with excitment as we bought our home last Christmas. As the school year started, our time was mainly taken up by the kids' school, sports and social activities. We were also busy with home maintenance . Daddy and the boys are now pretty good handymen at home. In the midst of that, we managed to also take time to explore and enjoy the outdoors in Melbourne as well host relatives and friends who visited us from Singapore.

Our 3 Js have pretty much settled down into life here and are now frequently speaking with an OZ accent. They are enjoying most aspects of the OZ lifestyle especially Sports and Outdoors. They have made great friends at school and church.

Joel is now 10 years old. Being in Melbourne has given him lots more opportunities for sports and outdoor. He is having heaps of fun in school especially in Sports. His favourite outdoor activities are Two-square and Dodgeball. His ambition now is to become a Sports Teacher or an Olympian. He has a hearty appetite and is almost as tall as mummy.

Jonas as usual is still our charming "lady's man", ever so sweet to the girls in school. He is enjoying art and learning in school. Though not as sporty as Joel, he enjoys playing Tiggy and having a swing at the School Playground every day. As usual he is still very interested in insects and animals and is really excited when the main learning focus for Term 4 in school is "INSECTS"!! He hopes to be a Vet or a Farmer when he grows up. He also hopes to have a horse or a blue-tongue lizard for a pet.

Jayna, the Princess has become very much more chatty and sociable. She enjoys dancing and singing and is also having lots of fun in kinder, child care and playgroup. She leads the most active social life in our family. Her current interests are learning Chinese and looking pretty. Her Christmas wish is to own a set of make-up and nail polish.
