We went to Mt Dandenong Market today for our fortnightly marketing trip. This is like the wholesale centre, where you can buy fruits, vegetables in bulk and at low prices. We were told that we could get good bargains there if we go at the right time. Indeed, when we first arrived at 12.30pm, these mushrooms were selling at A$7.99/kg. As we were about about to leave at 2 pm, the price dropped to A$4.99 a kg. Most of the sellers were slashing the prices of their goods as the market closes at 3pm. . Grapes were also on offer today, only A$0.99/kg. Mummy and Aunty Rachel had a wild of a time, buying those grapes, mushrooms and rock melons.
