Our young scientist

Joel took part in the Science Talent Search (Models & Invention Section). He chose to build an intelligent solar power road cleaner. As it was almost impossible to built a real working model, he & daddy built a prototype for the competition. Today was the Judging Day. Joel had to present his model to a panel of judges and submit a 4-page report. The judges commented that his invention was a "creative idea". Although he didn't win any bursary, it was a great learning experience for the whole family. We are very proud of him.

After his presentation, we brought him to Ikea for a well deserved breakfast treat.

BTW, from what we know, Ikea serves the cheapest full breakfast in Melbourne. For A$2, you'll get scambled egg, tomato, bacon, sausage & hash brown, and add A$1.95 for a refillable coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Very cheap for Melbourne standard!
